Principal Changes at SHHS

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce that Greg Schnurr has been appointed Principal of Sacred Heart High School, Walkerton.

Greg began his teaching career with the BGCDSB in 1999 at St. Mary’s High School followed by four years at Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton. He instructed students in visual and media arts. In 2007, he became Vice-Principal with the Bluewater District School Board working at Peninsula Shores in Wiarton as well as Walkerton District Community School.

Greg obtained his Bachelor of Education from OISE/University of Toronto. He completed his Master of Education in Educational Technology in 2004 and is currently working on his Doctorate in Education. His dissertation is on Rurality and Risk.

He and his wife, Kim, reside in Chepstow with their four children - Gwen, Alina, Miles and Eva. Greg participates fully in the life of Mary Immaculate Parish in Chepstow and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Greg is known for his artistic talents. In his spare time, he teaches art and guitar to local youth and performs with a local band.

We welcome Greg back to Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board and wish him all the best in his new role.

Mr. Schnurr

The Board of Trustees of the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn Miller as Superintendent of Education. An educator for over twenty years, he will assume the role in August 2013.

Glenn has served as a principal of St. Peter & St. Paul’s School in Durham, St.Joseph’s School in Port Elgin, St. Mary’s High School in Owen Sound and most recently as principal at Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton. A graduate of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he earned his Masters of Education from the University of Toronto in 2001. He holds specialist qualifications in Religious Education and Special Education.

He is an active member of Holy Family Parish as a Eucharistic Minister and music leader. He is dedicated to Catholic education and believes strongly in inclusionary education.

We wish Glenn success as he assumes these new responsibilities.
