Bruce Power Donates $5,000 to Support BGCDSB’s Ei2 Program

The Ei2 program, part of BGCDSB’s Limitless Ventures initiative, offers students opportunities to develop, market, and sell products while gaining valuable business and employment skills. Through participation in the program, students enhance their independence, acquire industry-recognized certifications, and engage with local employers to foster an inclusive workforce.

“We are incredibly grateful to Bruce Power for their generous support,” said Lisa Bilodeau, Superintendent of Education at BGCDSB. “This donation will directly benefit our students by expanding opportunities for skill development and real-world business experiences, reinforcing our commitment to creating inclusive and equitable learning environments.”

Bruce Power’s investment will enable BGCDSB to further develop the Ei2 program by increasing access to materials, resources, and opportunities for students to build their entrepreneurial skills and develop their own businesses before they graduate. This investment will also ensure that students can continue to grow and evolve their businesses beyond graduation, with ongoing access to mentorship, resources, and support through the BGCDSB business hub.

"The Ei2 program is making a real impact by equipping students with hands-on experience and the confidence to pursue meaningful careers," said Jennifer Lang, Limitless Ventures Consultant. "This generous contribution from Bruce Power ensures we can continue fostering inclusive opportunities and expanding the program’s reach."

BGCDSB remains committed to ensuring that all students have access to engaging, hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for future success. The board extends its heartfelt appreciation to Bruce Power for its ongoing commitment to education and community support. Community members can learn more about the program at www.bgcdsb.org/ei2
